I am happiest when I am hurting. These last few weeks after a disappointing finish at Pick Your Poison has left me sore.
Keene Valley was cathartic and allowed me the pleasure of summits and reflection. Giant Mountain gave me something I can not get in Kingston, elevation. More so then that, it gave me a chance to reflect on running. I spend a lot of time talking the talk. It is time to walk the walk.
As with all the best laid plans, mine is in constant flux. Out of my line up is Ultimate XC. I am a bit saddened about this but have quickly moved my focus over to The Escarpment Trail race in July. With over 10,000 feet of elevation change over 30km it will be a challenge but one I am preparing for in ernest.
